Good Morning Belfast! This week we’re focusing on stories. We’ve got Book Week NI, nine true stories with Tenx9, a club for Belfast writers, and a wonderful art exhibition exploring stories of nature and humanity.
Even our Live Music Pick takes us back to the rural dance halls of old. We’re also looking ahead to half-term, with 12 free things to do with the kids
Here’s your week in Belfast …

🎨 ART IN FOCUS
The Given Ground: Jason Gonzalez
Until 1 November · Malone House
We visited Malone House alongside photographer Mark Cully, to meet artist Jason Gonzalez and see his exhibition, The Given Ground.
Originally from the Philippines, Jason creates landscapes and portraits exploring our relationship with nature.
His work is shaped by his experience of devastating floods, and he describes his process as a ‘collaboration with nature.’ He works primarily with organic debris - leaves, roots and branches instead of traditional paintbrushes.
We loved what we saw and heard and have brought together a few photographs from our visit, to give you a glimpse of this exhibition before it closes on 1 November.
